"A meeting Sunday of 33rd State Senate District representatives in the Democratic State Central Committee failed to reach an endorsement in that special election.

However, according to a press release from Lena Gonzalez, she received almost all of the votes cast for candidates. The current First District City Councilwoman for Long Beach said that she won 33 votes while Leticia Vasquez-Wilson had two and Jose Luis Solache had one."
